This post is in response to Lollipop26's post. I think that this is a great idea. I always enjoy hearing what people love but it is also very useful to know what they disliked as well. I guess I should get on with it. So here are my disappointments...well some of them.
Product #1 Diorshow Mascara... When I joined Youtube this was all the rage. There were tons of videos raving about this product. Naturally, I went out to try it for myself. Major disappointment, this did not give me long, full, or even clump free lashes. I had a hard time not looking like a tarantula when I was wearing this. The price is another downfall to this product.
Product #2 L'oreal's HIP Gel Eyeliners......ughhh is all I have to say about this product. I fell victim to temptation after a couple of reviews stated that it was a dupe for the MAC gel eyeliner. Not so. The HIP liner dried up so fast I only was able to use it for a month and when it wasn't a hard shrunken cake, it was impossible to get just what I needed out of the pot. I felt that when I stuck the tip of my brush in I could only get a huge chunk. So, I tossed it along with the other two colors I had purchased.
Product #3 Solar Bits from MAC...I feel like a trader posting this product but it is true not everything that MAC makes is amazing and this product is proof. This product is so hard to work with and the fall out is immense. It is just not worth the effort to use this product when there are a hundred other products that will get the job done easier.
Product#4 NARS eyeshadows...I purchased a few of their eyeshadows to give them a go but the payoff was terrible. I love other products that NARS makes I don't know what goes wrong with their eyeshadows. It is not just the payoff that is terrible. I feel their whole eyeshadow concept is bad: their range of colors is limited, plus it is littered with very unwearable colors, and the majority of them leave me looking like a disco ball.
Please let me know what products you have been disappointed in, I am curious.
